What you'll learn

Grammar & Verb Tenses

• Master essential verb tenses, including the present, past and future.

• Understand auxiliary verbs (être and avoir) and past participle formation.

• Use the imperative, present participle and gerund.

• Strengthen sentence structure with relative pronouns (qui vs. que).

• Learn common verbal expressions followed by à, de and pour.

Vocabulary & Expressions

• Expand your vocabulary across everyday topics, including greetings, colours, animals, city and countryside life, holidays, emotions and health.

• Incorporate French idioms, proverbs and quotations to make your language more sophisticated.

VCE Examination Skills

• Understand the VCAA Study Design and examination expectations.

• Improve your speaking with strategies for handling difficult questions and correcting mistakes.

• Develop listening and transcription techniques, including recognising different spellings of the same sound.

• Plan, structure and proofread written responses.

• Write effective introductions, conclusions and well-developed arguments.

• Use dictionaries and reference materials effectively.
